Demographic Divergence History of Pied Flycatcher and Collared Flycatcher Inferred from Whole-Genome Re-sequencing Data
Profound knowledge of demographic history is a prerequisite for the understanding and inference of processes involved in the evolution of population differentiation and speciation. Together with new coalescent-based methods, the recent availability of genome-wide data enables investigation of differentiation and divergence processes at unprecedented depth. We combined two powerful approaches, f...

متن کاملGuepiniopsis alpina, first record of the genus Guepiniopsis for Iran
In the framework of collecting and identifying of wood fungi of Iran, specimen of cup fungus from wood and debris of conifers was collected. The characteristic features of specimen were as follows: Fruit body cup-shaped, gelatinous, up to 1 cm high and to 1.5 cm wide; bright orange. Fertile surface concave. Spores sausage-shaped, smooth, up to 4-5-celled, 15.5-18 × 4-6 µm. Basidia shaped like a...
متن کاملThe relationship between DRD4 polymorphisms and phenotypic correlations of behaviors in the collared flycatcher
There is increasing evidence that the genetic architecture of exploration behavior includes the dopamine receptor D4 gene (DRD4). Such a link implies that the within-individual consistency in the same behavior has a genetic basis. Behavioral consistency is also prevalent in the form of between-individual correlation of functionally different behaviors; thus, the relationship between DRD4 polymo...
متن کاملThe first documented record of Sphagnum riparium (Bryophyta: Sphagnaceae) from Spitsbergen
Sphagnum riparium (Bryophyta) is recorded and described from the Wedel Jarlsberg Land on Spitsbergen, the Arctic Svalbard Archipelago. It is the northernmost known population of the species in the Northern Hemisphere. The distribution of the two known Sphagnum species in the Hornsund area, viz. S. riparium and S. squarrosum is mapped and described.
